Featured Teachers

This week will bring a focus on the special fundamentals. Turns, leaps, and jumps are front and center as student technique is scrutinized looking for key corrections that can cut to the core of basic skills execution. Teachers will be looking for those corrections that can make transformational break-throughs in student technique for fundamental skills of turns, leaps, and jumps.
Another focus of this week will be classical ballet variations from White Swan, Don Quixote, and Paquita. Each level will study variations that are appropriate with the level.
On Wednesday of the week will be ballroom dance instruction with Chris Thierens. Here is an aspect of dance that is not usually touched on in the regular dance season. Students are requested to find and bring dance partners to this class. Chris believes strongly that ballroom dance is a partnering experience that should not have girls doing boys parts or vice versa. Bring a friend and have them be acquainted with the dance part of your life and have a great fun time in the process.

If you are not in the studio presently we extend a special invitation to you to come for a week and experience these teachers. The dance world is precious small in any given area and getting to know other dancers in the area is always a joy.
