The true heroes of the studio are the faculty and staff. Dance Dimensions is proud of our faculty not just for their dance expertise and professionalism but equally as much for their passion, dedication and commitment, which we witness and admire day in and day out. Although dance is our expertise, focus and mission, we are always mindful of the whole child. We strive to convey a complete matrix of values along with the finest in a dance education. Please read our teachers’ and staffs’ descriptions and resumes below, they are some of the most accomplished performers and teachers in the area. We are proud of them and thank them for everything they provide to their students and your children. We believe our faculty is the finest available in the area. They are not only great dance teachers, they are great people. It is our honor and pleasure to be working with them.

LOUISE LEISE

The owner and director of Dance Dimensions has for thirty years formed a space where excellence of dance education and the fun of dancing are not mutually exclusive. Providing an enriching human environment in which every child can experience the joy of dance is an ever-present standard she sets for herself and her faculty. Ever active, showing the world of dance to young dancers, she has spent many summers sheparding them to the perfessional studios of L.A., dance conventions, competitions, master classes, performance and study opportunities are all but a part of the experience she continues to offer. Before starting Dance Dimensions, she managed and directed the City of Boulder's dance program. During her 3 year tenure there she grew the program by more than seven fold in size and scope.

Tiffany Leise Taskey

TIFFANY  LEISE TASKEY

performed both nationally and internationally in film, videos, industrials and the live stage for 15 years. During that time, as time allowed, she also toured with the dance conventions, L.A.D.F. and Urban Jamm teaching a broad range of dance styles including Jazz, Tap and Musical Theater. Her tap and teaching skills are recognized country wide. She has taught and mentored students that have gone on to perform internationally in the tap world. One of her students went on to bring home the Gold Medal in the World Olympics of tap dance in Riesa Germany as a soloist. She studied with such greats as Honi Coles, Jimmy Slide, Henry LeTang to name a small few. She still does some work nationally as time is available. But her focus now, while she is raising her family, is training dancers at all levels up to and including preparing them to work professionally and imparting to every student all the other qualities that produce exceptional, empowered and well focused young people.

Amanda Leise

AMANDA LEISE

originally from Boulder, Colorado, performed, taught and choreographed in LA and Dallas from 2002 to 2013. She attended CU as a dance major and has recently moved back to Colorado where she is on faculty at Dance Dimensions. Amanda has taught at the EDGE Performing Arts Center, Hollywood Vibe, Urban Jamm, Boulder Jazz Dance Workshop, and Fusion Dance Workshop. She is in high demand as a Master teacher and choreographer in the U.S. and abroad. She was a guest teacher in Nicosia, Cyprus for Dance Anonymous, as well as a teacher/choreographer for the internationally known Boulder Jazz Dance Workshop for the past 8 years. She has performed and choreographed for Dee Caspary’s “Nvitational” and Adam Parson’s “Essential”. Along with teaching, she is a member of Wild Heart Dance Company and Interweave Dance Theatre. Amanda has an infectious enthusiasm that says "let's do this, and while we're at it let's have some fun."

She looks forward to sharing her passion and teaching her students how to express themselves through the art of dance.

 

Melissa Heslep

MELISSA HESLEP

trained with Beatrix Aldana at The Royal School of Dance and also studied the Vaganova Syllabus with Luba Gulyaeva (NJ Ballet) and Janine Canova (Australian Ballet). She believes that students should understand the anatomical foundation of Ballet because that knowledge gives the students the insight to avoid injury both now and through out their lives. Committed to classical ballet, Melissa has a teaching style that emphasizes positive reinforcement, thus creating an enthusiastic environment where students learn and become self disciplined. She has performed widely with such as Walt Disney, Central Florida Ballet, Boulder Ballet Company and Lemon Sponge Cake.

Linda Lou Villa

 

LINDA LOU VILLA

Anyone who has come through the front door of Dance Dimensions knows Linda. She is the person who takes care of all those pesky problems that come up. As the manager of the studio, she is responsible for the studio's business aspects.

She has worked for the studio almost from the first day the doors opened, over 30 years ago. She is at her desk from Monday thru Thursday and then some. For everything that Linda does, we thank her! Thank You Linda.

Charlene Lott

CHARLENE LOTT

studied dance at the University of Oregon as well as teaching ballet, jazz, and creative dance in her own studio for six years. Believing that dance should inspire, she provides the energy for students to continue a disciplined striving that produces the joy found in learning. Charlene brings an extremely caring and loving environment filled with energy to the young dancer. Her students remember and love her.

She is one of our child specialists. With us for over 20 years, we believe we provide one of the finest child teachers in Colorado when she teaches. We are fortunate to offer her.

DONNA WHITESEL

has danced, choreographed, taught or staged ballet since she was 5 years old. A student of the world-renown Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet and Pennsylvania Ballet Company, Donna received her training from  such notables as Barbara Weisberger, Violette Verdy, Alexei Ramov, David Howard, and Finis Jhung, to name a few. Donna began teaching in Pennsylvania and continued throughout her husband’s military career in GA, FL, KS, NY, and later, NE. Donna founded, built and directed DanceWorks in Nebraska City for 10 years where she began her certification as a Cecchetti ballet instructor. Having passed the rigorous teacher exams through Grade Five, she is currently working on the Intermediate Professional level. Donna has trained  hundreds of successful exam candidates in the Cecchetti method, many passing with highest honors. She is excited to be able to teach students the beautiful art form of ballet at Dance Dimensions.

LAUREN BEALE

is a performing artist, choreographer, contemplative teacher, and yoga instructor. She holds an MFA in Dance from The University of Colorado Boulder with an emphasis in collaborative, interdisciplinary performance. Lauren has performed nationally and internationally with Colorado based companies Helander Dance Theater, 3rd Law Dance/Theatre, David Capps/Dances, Interweave Dance Theater, Kim Olson/Sweet Edge, as well as New York City companies Curt Haworth and Dancers, Ellis Wood Dance and Peter Sciscioli. Lauren has co-created and collaborated on interdisciplinary performances with Brooke McNamara, Mark McCoin, Jessica Hendricks, Amanda Leise, and Jimmy Lusero.  Her creative work has been presented in Colorado, New York City, Mexico, and Costa Rica. She has been on faculty at the Boulder Jazz Dance Workshop for over ten years and facilitates dance and movement exploration classes at Running River School K-8. Lauren is also on faculty in the dance department of CU-Boulder and has taught Performance Improvisation, Contemporary/Modern, Jazz Fusion technique, and Looking at Dance. Her current creative research seeks to engage performance as a site for cultural critique and the body as means of expressing the most pressing questions of the human experience.

NIKKI RAMER

 holds a BA in Theater & Dance from the University of Wyoming. Her performance and teaching experience has spanned college level to preschool. A well-rounded dancer with Ballet, modern, jazz, hip-hop, & tap as some of the styles she has taught. She relates to life as a dancer and wants to share with her students the discipline, strength, and healthy work ethic that dance has provided to her. However most of all, she wants to instill a love of dance in her students.

Here at the studio, she has taught all ages from 3 year old's to teens. Connecting with every age level, her young dancers love her and the Shooting Stars teen competition group has been very successful competing and having a great time doing it. Students love her for the caring loving person she is.

MIMI FERRIE

is a Colorado dance artist who has been performing, teaching and choreographing for over fifteen years. Mimi graduated with her BFA in Dance from the University of Colorado in 2007. Mimi has taught extensively across Colorado and has become a sought after educator with her strong emphasis in technique, performance and creative development. She has performed with several local dance companies including New Breed, Impact Dance, Louder Than Words Dance Theatre, One Big Yes Productions, Interweave Dance Theatre, and Wild Heart. Mimi has choreographed works for Interweave Dance Theatre, New Visions Dance Festival, Denver Independent Choreographers Project, Fort Collins Children’s Theatre, OpenStage Theatre, and the Boulder Jazz Dance Workshop.

WENDY OLSON

has studied dance from the age of 3 and is a former Dance Dimensions student. Throughout the years she has trained in such styles as Ballet, tap, flamenco, jazz, hip hop, Bgirling and modern. Wendy spent two years as a dance major a CSU and currently dances with True II Form dance under the direction of Kevin O'Keefe. In May of 2010 she received a degree in Human Performance and Sport and plans to continue her education and a physical therapist focusing on helping dancers. Wendy believes strongly in teaching proper technique, being a good role model for her students and showing them how fun dance is.

Janette Maul

is our new gal Friday. Literally, she fills in for Linda at the front desk on Friday and Saturday. Always with a smile and a ready laugh, she has been with us now for about a year. She will take care of you and your child, answering questions, resolving issues and interfacing with the computer enrollment system when needed.

She is ready to help and if she doesn't know the answer will find it out and get back to you with the answer. A very capable caring person, who makes the studio work better. We are very fortunate to have someone of her caliber available on a part time basis.
